One North Carolina county is getting out of the home health business. Craven County is selling its home health agency’s assets to Pruitt-Health Home Health Inc., reports the New Bern Sun Journal.
Georgia-based PruittHealth is buying the assets, most notably its Certificate of Need, for $850,000, the Sun Journal says. The 30-year-old agency’s gross revenues over the past four years have totaled about $2.14 million annually. The county is keeping its hospice program, and may build a hospice inpatient facility with the sale proceeds, the newspaper says.
