The home health proposed rule for 2023 is officially open for public comment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services points out in a message to providers. “The public comment period is open until Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET,” CMS tells providers and other interested parties. Commenters can submit their feedback at www.regulations.gov/commenton/CMS-2022-0109-0002. The 84-page rule is at www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/ FR-2022-06-23/pdf/2022-13376.pdf.
“We are in a crisis situation where it is more important than it’s ever been before that you comment before this final rule is released, and that you make sure your voice is heard,” urges consultant Melinda Gaboury with Healthcare Provider Solutions in Nashville, Tennessee. “Having just the state associations and the national association comment on this rule is not going to get it. We as individual entities in the home health industry are going to have to participate in advocacy surrounding this rule,” she insists in her Monday Minute with Melinda vlog.
