Reconsideration request due date is coming up fast. It’s that time of year again — time to find out whether Medicare is docking your pay for quality reporting reasons. Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) placed notifications to facilities that were determined to be out of compliance with Quality Reporting Program (QRP) requirements for CY 2021 into facilities’ CASPER folders in QIES on July 13th, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a message to providers. The noncompliance for 2021 will affect hospices’ 2023 payment rates.
“Facilities that receive a letter of non-compliance may submit a request for reconsideration to CMS via email no later than 11:59 pm, August 11th, 2022,” the agency instructs in the message.
