CGS Agencies Finally Catch Up On PCR Submission Method
Get familiar with esMD for quickest submission.
“CGS is pleased to announce that home health providers can now submit pre-claim review (PCR) requests using esMD,” the MAC says in a Nov. 3 post to its website.
But to send PCR requests via esMD, “you must first obtain access to a CONNECT-compatible gateway,” CGS instructs. “Providers may choose to build their own gateway; however, you may enter into a contract or other arrangement with a Health Information Handler (HIH).”
Submission difficulties are just one of the many complaints home health agencies have about the Pre-Claim Review program operating in Illinois. But now one HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor is trying to ease the process.
