Beware Newly Identified Claims System Glitch

You’ll have to wait and see on a claims glitch that may be disrupting your cash flow.
Problem: “Palmetto GBA has identified that there is an issue with home health claims incorrectly rejecting with Reason Codes U5220 and U5210,” the HHH Medicare Administrative Con-tractor says. “Home health 32X claims submitted for beneficiaries that are entitled for either Medicare Part A or Part B are incorrectly rejecting.”
“The Common Working File (CWF) and FISS are researching the issue for a resolution. Providers do not need to take any action at this time,” Palmetto instructs.
