Are your average visit numbers per episode closer to 12 or 26?
Is your average number of visits per home health episode making you stick out like a sore thumb to reviewers? You may get an idea if your stats are a red flag by checking out a new supplemental report from Comparative Billing Report contractor SafeGuard Services. The report details home health services by episode, including the average number of visits per state.
For example: Utah has the highest number of visits at 27.89 with Florida close behind at 26.24, SGS says in the newly posted report. Oregon records the lowest average number of visits per episode at 12.65.
