A longtime nonprofit hospice in Tennessee continues to get flack about a potential sale to a for-profit chain. The Christy-Houston Foundation in Murfreesboro, which gave more than $3 million to help Alive Hospice build a facility in Rutherford County, has told Alive it wants its money back if the nonprofit is sold to a for-profit company, reports The Tennessee Lookout news outlet. Alive’s most recent Form 990, filed in September 2022, reported program service revenue for 2021 of about $32.4 million and about $1 million more in revenue than expense, according to the Lookout.
