Industry Notes:

Aides Plead Guilty To Medicaid Fraud

States continue to crack down on Medicaid personal care services fraud.

In Missouri, the state’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit secured guilty pleas from four home health aides who defrauded the Medicaid program. In Oregon County, Michael Nash pled guilty, admitting he caused another person to submit false timesheets on his behalf while he was incarcerated.

In St. Louis County, Samantha Arnold pled guilty to submitting false timesheets when she failed to provide care to a minor patient and forged the minor parent’s signature. Lucretia Hardy pled guilty to claiming she was providing in-home care to Medicaid recipients who were in other facilities at the same time. And Yvonne Woods pled guilty to submitting false telephony records claiming her in-home care attendant was providing her services for five years after the attendant stopped.
