Home health companies are getting in line for the chance to start a home health agency in the Certificate of Need state of North Carolina. The state made a need determination in the 2023 State Medical Facilities Plan for one agency in Brunswick County, one of the fastest growing counties in North Carolina, reports the Port City Daily online newspaper based in Wilmington.
Five companies have submitted CON applications, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services says in a public notice: Brunswick Community Hospital and Novant Health Inc.; Home Health and Hospice Care Inc.; BAYADA Home Health Care Inc.; Well Care TPM Inc.; and HealthView Capital Partners-FUND I. The state will hold a hearing on the matter on April 19.
