CMS's response to fraud tips soon may improve. About 12 percent of complaints received through the 1-800-HHS-TIPS hotline remained unresolved a year later, the OIG says in a new report, "CMS's Processing of Complaints Received Through the 1-800-HHS-TIPS Hotline." CMS plans to issue new policies, procedures, and requirements to its contractors who field the tips.
