2 Non-Profit Hospices Join Forces In Buckeye State
Two Ohio non-profit hospices are teaming up. Hospice of Dayton and Cleveland-based Hospice of the Western Reserve have announced a “collaborative initiative,” according to a release.
Under the partnership, the hospices will initiate disease management programs, share best practices and standardize education. “Future initiatives will focus on refining operating efficiencies, sharing electronic medical records with our partners in care, and elevating the presence of best-practice hospice care,” Hospice of Dayton CEO Kent Anderson says in the release.
The collaboration plans to create “a network of hospice and palliative care providers across Ohio” and develop “pre-hospice palliative care management,” says Hospice of the Western Reserve CEO William E. Finn. The combined hospices provide care to more than 12,000 Ohioans annually.
