New PPH Measure Now On Deck, And You Can Get A Sneak Peek

Your home health Preview Reports and Star Rating Preview Reports for the July 2023 Care Compare refresh are now in iQIES. “The July 2023 refresh will add a new claims-based measure for public reporting: Potentially Preventable Hospitalizations (PPH),” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a notice to providers. The claims-based measures have been calculated excluding Q1 and Q2 2020 data due to COVID, but OASIS-based measures will be based on the standard number of quarters, CMS confirms.
