Home Health & Hospice Week

Industry Notes

• The presence of nursing home-affiliated HHAs continues to grow. For example: In Vinton, Iowa, Vinton Lutheran Home's home health agency has become Medicare- and Medicaid-certified, reports the Cedar Valley Daily Times. The organization offers a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, Medicare/ Medicaid HHA, and private duty agency, the newspaper explains. "We have that whole continuum covered," Christine Smith, administrator for community services at the Vinton Lutheran Home Health, told the Times. "Hopefully if we provide great services they'll want to come back."
