You're Responsible For These 2 New Therapy Codes Under Home Health Bundling
Two new codes are replacing two old codes on the consolidated billing list for home health payment. Reminder: "Services appearing on this list that are submitted on claims to MACs will not be paid separately on dates when a beneficiary for whom such a service is being billed is in a home health episode," reiterates the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in a MLN Matters article about the list update. Effective Jan. 1, 97763 (Orthotic(s)/prosthetic(s) management and/or training, upper extremity(ies), lower extremity(ies), and/or trunk, subsequent orthotic(s)/prosthetic(s) encounter, each 15 minutes) will replace 97762. And G0515 (Development of cognitive skills to improve attention, memory, problem solving (includes compensatory training), direct (one-on-one) patient contact, each 15 minutes) will replace 97532.
