You'll Have One Month To Submit HIS Data

Want to find out more about the Hospice Item Set CMS will require hospice providers to use starting in July? The agency has issued a new one-page fact sheet about the data collection tool.
Timeline: "Hospices will have 14 days from admission to complete HIS-Admission records and 7 days from discharge to complete HIS-Discharge records," CMS explains. But hospices will have 30 days from admission and discharge to submit the data.
Watch for: CMS plans to hold training on the HIS in February.
