VNAA, ElevatingHome To Merge With LeadingAge Trade Group

Pending a vote by members of the Visiting Nurse Associations of America and its affiliate, ElevatingHOME, the trade groups will become part of LeadingAge, they say. LeadingAge was formerly known as the American Association for Homes and Services for the Aging. Many LeadingAge members offer home care and hospice services, ElevatingHOME says in a statement. The trade groups “have several members in common” already, it notes. “Our organizations have shared visions, similar missions, and a deep commitment to service,” Leading- Age’s Katie Smith Sloan says in a statement. VNAA and ElevatingHOME members will vote on the affiliation “closer to fall,” a spokesperson tells Eli.
