VBID Hospice Carve-In Letter To Hit Hospice Mailboxes
Hospices should soon see a letter in their mailboxes aiming to explain the Medicare Advantage hospice carve-in. The “direct mailing from the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) to hospice providers … will raise general awareness of the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model, hospice benefit component and provide education on participation and billing for Medicare Advantage enrollees receiving services in affected areas,” HHH MAC Palmetto GBA notes in a Jan. 11 post on its website.
