Therapy Fraud Unsealed

The fraud crackdown in Miami continues. Co-owners of home health agency Florida Patient Care Corp., Ailin Consuelo Rodriguez Sigler; Zoila C. Rios; and Tomas A. Rodriguez have been charged with Medicare fraud. In a fraudulent scheme, Sigler, Rios, and Rodriguez agreed with the owners and operators of multiple home health therapy staffing companies to bill Medicare for services that were medically unnecessary, not eligible for Medicare reimbursement, or were never provided, according to a Department of Justice release.
