While Medicare officials have just finalized plans to expand OASIS significantly with a host of new SPADEs (see story, p. 320), make sure you’re answering the standardized patient assessment data element OASIS items you’ve got already accurately and completely. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released a six-minute video tutorial to assist providers with coding GG0130A (Eating), CMS notes in a message to providers. The video available on YouTube aims to provide “targeted guidance using simulated patient scenarios,” the agency notes. The video is online at https://youtu.be/ihu6PlbAzYY.
