Industry Note:

Risk Decertification If You Overlook Revalidation Request

You have until Feb. 27 to respond to HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor CGS's request for Medicare revalidation. Back in December, CGS made some mix-ups with its revalidation letters (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XXI, No. 2, p. 15). But don't let that confusion keep you from responding to a revalidation request. "Failure to submit the enrollment forms as requested may result in the deactivation of your Medicare billing privileges," the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services stresses in a MLN Matters article about the revalidation process. Resources: More information is on CGS's website at www.cgsmedicare.com/hhh/enrollment/Revalidation.html. Scroll down for a link to CGS's FAQs on the revalidation process. CMS's MLN Matters article is online at www.cms.gov/MLNMattersArticles/downloads/SE1126.pdf.
