Reconsideration Deadline Is Almost Here
If you received a notice of noncompliance with hospice quality reporting requirements, and thus will have your 2020 APU payment update reduced, time is running out to file for a reconsideration. “Non-compliance notifications were sent to providers two ways; a letter sent by their MACs and another letter placed into facilities’ CASPER folders in QIES/iQIES on or about July 16,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a message to providers. Providers “that received a letter of non-compliance may submit a request for reconsideration to CMS via email no later than 11:59 pm PST, August 15, 2019,” the agency stresses. Instructions for submitting the request are in your notification letter.
