Public Health Agency To Close

Home Care of Central Illinois, a division of the Logan County Department of Public Health, will close at the end of the year, reports The Pantagraph newspaper. The agency that covers 10 counties stopped accepting referrals Oct. 2. “Newer industry regulatory constraints coupled with increased competition from larger agencies have made it less economically feasible for smaller home health agencies, such as ours, to sustain a home health program,” said a health department official.
