More hospices are continuing the trend of changing their names to reflect a broader range of services. In Texas: Community Hospice of Texas and its affiliates Providence Hospice and Waco Hospice have changed their names to Community Healthcare of Texas. “This name change reflects our commitment of continuing to provide the best care for patients and families as they navigate their healthcare needs when diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness,” says CEO Victoria Jingle. “This name change allows us to continue to expand and improve our mission and goals as an organization,” Jingle says in a release. In North Carolina: Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington is changing its name to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. “The new name reflects our growth and positions us for future development,” the company says in a release. “We currently serve almost as many palliative care patients as hospice patients.”
