Point Physicians, Discharge Planners To New CERT Task Force Sessions
If you’d like your hospital referral sources to hear more about their duties from Medicare, you can refer them to two newly announced Comprehensive Error Report Testing task force webcasts on the topic. On Feb. 21, “the Part A/B CERT Taskforce will partner with the DME CERT taskforce to offer two sessions providing information and answering all of your questions regarding the Medicare requirements for patients discharging from an inpatient hospital stay and in need of these services,” according to a notice from HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto GBA. The one-hour sessions target “physicians, hospitalists, discharge planners, caseworkers” who are “ordering and/or arranging for Home Health and/or DMEPOS for patients discharging from an inpatient hospital stay,” it says.
