Outlier Payments Still Aren't Fixed

You'll have to wait a while longer for your outlier reimbursement. The Centers for Medi-care & Medicaid Services still hasn't fixed the problem, a CMS rep reported in the July 11 Open Door Forum for home care providers.HHAs remain underpaid for outliers going as far back as 2010, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice says (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XXI, No. 22). Agencies negatively impacted by the outlier glitch should seek accelerated payment plans from their Medicare Administrative Contracts, NAHC recommends.
