Outlier Payment Calculation Problems Persist

Don't count on your outlier payments being sorted out quite yet. A claims system fix to correct outlier overpayments went into effect with the January systems release, CMS noted in the latest home health Open Door Forum (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XXI, No. 3, p. 18). But "after further review, the implemented fix did not address all issues," HHH MAC Palmetto GBA reports on its website. "Therefore, the issue is being researched."
