Ohio HHAs Can Enter RCD Choices For Next Phase
Cycle 1 ended March 30. Medicare still has the Review Choice Demonstration on “pause” in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas, but it is taking a step towards the program’s resumption. Beginning May 1, Ohio home health agencies “will be able to choose the next round’s review option,” says RCD contractor Palmetto GBA.“Typically, the selection period is open for a two-week period.Due to the current Public Health Emergency (PHE) related to COVID-19, the last day to make a selection has not yet been determined,” the Medicare Administrative Contractor notes in an April 17 post to its website. Ohio began RCD on Sept.30, 2019.Cycle 1 of RCD ended in the state on March 30, although the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services paused the program on March 29 (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXIX, No. 12-13).HHAs can continue to submit claims for RCD if they choose, though.
