Beginning May 1, Ohio home health agencies “will be able to choose the next round’s review option,” says RCD contractor Palmetto GBA.“Typically, the selection period is open for a two-week period.Due to the current Public Health Emergency (PHE) related to COVID-19, the last day to make a selection has not yet been determined,” the Medicare Administrative Contractor notes in an April 17 post to its website. Ohio began RCD on Sept.30, 2019.Cycle 1 of RCD ended in the state on March 30, although the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services paused the program on March 29 (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXIX, No. 12-13).HHAs can continue to submit claims for RCD if they choose, though.
