Ohio Agency Faces $4 Million Medicaid Overpayment

Statistical sampling and extrapolation aren’t just Medicare audit problems. Healing Touch Health Care Ltd. in Washington Township, Ohio, has been slapped with a nearly $4 million Medicaid overpayment based on the procedures, reports the Dayton Daily News. The overpayment is based on aides who either lacked CPR certification altogether, or had lapses in their certification, the newspaper says. The agency has asked for a recalculation of the overpayment, which covers services provided from 2013 through 2015, based on additional documentation it has produced, according to the News.
