NPWT Billing Changes Issued In New Transmittal

Medicare has given MACs their marching orders about new NPWT billing rules.
Recap: In the 2017 HH PPS final rule, CMS finalized changes that will require home health agencies to bill disposable Negative Pressure Wound Therapy devices separately on Type of Bill 34x, and prohibit them from billing services related to the device on the usual home health 32x TOB (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXV, No. 39-40).
