All Metro Health Care, a home care provider serving patients in five states, has changed its name to Simplura Health Group, according to its parent, private equity firm One Equity Partners. One Equity acquired a controlling interest in Valley Stream, New York-based All Metro in February 2016, it says in a release. All Metro launched in New York in 1955, made purchases in New Jersey and Florida, and then purchased CareGivers America in Pennsylvania in 2015; Multicultural Home Care and its Freedom Home Care private pay business in Massachusetts in 2016; and Independence Healthcare, also in Massachusetts, in 2017, the company says. All of its agencies now will operate under the Simplura name. The company has about 11,000 employees, it says.
