MAC Sets 5010 Deadline

If you've been stalling on 5010 compliance, now's the time to get going on the new HIPAA version of your claim form. "If you have not received NHIC Corp. approval to go into production using Version 5010A1, you are considered a non-compliant submitter," the HHH MAC warns in a new e-mail to providers. "It is now your responsibility to become compliant by February 29, 2012 or submit to NHIC Corp. your testing/transition plan by that date." The plan must outline how you will complete your transition by March 31, NHIC explains.
