Learn Retention Lessons From Top-Rated Employer

If you're having trouble retaining employees, you may want to take a page from one New Jersey home care provider's book. Absolute Home Health in Newark, a private duty home care company, was given top marks in a recent Top Workplaces survey by Exton, Pa.- based Workplace Dynamics, reports The News Journal of Wilmington, Del. Absolute's management goes the extra mile to make its aides feel appreciated, the newspaper reports. For example: When it's time for workers to pick up paychecks, CEO Tom Anthony sits at the receptionist's desk to greet them, ask how they're doing, and tell them they're doing a good job, according to the News Journal. And the agency provides small financial perks like gas cards.
