Industry Note:

Keep This Quality Resolution In The New Year

With quality data becoming more important than ever for home health agencies and hospices, brushing up on your quality reporting requirements is one New Year's resolution you should make - and keep.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently updated its Quick Reference Guides for both the Home Health Quality Reporting Program and the Hospice Quality Reporting Pro-gram. "These guides include frequently asked questions, information on QRP help desks, and ... links to additional resources for the QRPs," CMS says.

For example: "HHCAHPS data must be reported for eligible patients on a monthly basis for four consecutive quarters," CMS says in response to a question about HHCAHPS reporting deadlines.
