Your patients and referral sources soon may be getting letters informing them about restrictions on where they can obtain their durable medical equipment or supplies, if they use items included in Round 2 of DME bidding and reside in one of the 91 bidding areas or use mail order diabetic supplies.
"Starting May 13, 2013, Medicare is mailing information to people with Medicare in the 91 Round 2 areas who use the items included in the program, in addition to those who use diabetic testing supplies across the country," the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services explains in a notice. "Approximately 5.7 million people with Medicare will get a letter and information."
