Imminent Hospice Item Set Data Specs Released

Check out your new Hospice Item Set data specs, which the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released May 19. The new specs (v2.00.0) are just a draft at this point, CMS cautions. The final version of the specs will go into effect April 1, 2017.
“All users of the specifications are strongly urged to read this document carefully,” CMS says in Hospice Data Submission Specifications Overview document.
The specs are in the “Downloads” section at www.cms.gov/Medicare/Quality-Initiatives-Patient-Assessment-Instruments/Hospice-Quality-Reporting/HIS-Technical-Information.html.
