Hospital, Senior Living Join Forces With Home Care

Home care joint ventures seem to be gaining in popularity. In Cincinnati, The Christ Hospital Health Network is entering into a joint venture to offer home health services with Ketter-ing-based Alternate Solutions Healthcare System, the hospital system says. The agency will operate as The Christ Hospital Home Health Care, reports The Cincinnati Enquirer.

And Des Moines, Iowa-based senior living chain LCS has partnered with CareSouth Health System Inc. to run its 17 home care locations in 11 states, reports the Business Record. "We sought out a partner with similar values to better position our home care services for the future," LCS CEO Ed Kenny says in a release. Augusta, Ga.-based CareSouth owns or manages 27 Medicare-certified HHAs and five private duty offices with 56 locations in seven states.
