Hospital Sells Hospice Unit In Georgia

Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., will sell its hospice unit, Hutche-son Hospice, to Hearth Hospice, according to newspaper reports. The hospital is focusing on its core businesses, it says in a release.Hearth is waiting on its state licensure to open, reports the Times Free Press. Hospice of Chattanooga, which previously employed Hearth's physician owner Deanna Duncan, dropped its appeal of Hearth's licensure, the newspaper says.
