The sale of Wayne County, Ga.'s home health department may stall thanks to management controversy. The Wayne County Health Board voted to remove agency director Reid Wilson for an undisclosed legal reason. The county also will undertake a forensic audit of the agency, reports the Jesup, Ga. Press-Sentinel. Wayne Memorial Hospital has been considering acquiring the agency, but may have to halt any moves in that direction, its CEO told the newspaper. If the HHA doesn't find a buyer, the agency may have to cease operations. The agency served more than 2,800 patients last year and furnished more than 100,000 skilled visits, it says on its website. It has about 275 direct and contract staff members, it adds.
