Home Health Marketer Pleads Guilty After Doc Husband

Former home health marketer Lisa McLaren Janick has pleaded guilty to falsifying documents relating to her physician husband’s Port Charlotte medical office and creating bogus referrals for patients to receive medically unnecessary home health services, the Department of Justice says in a release. Dr. Janick previously pleaded guilty in a related case to obstruction of a federal audit. Lisa Janick faces a maximum penalty of 20 years for each of two fraud counts, the DOJ says. Her sentencing date has not yet been set, while Dr. Janick’s sentencing date is Sept. 11.
