Mergers & acquisitions activity in the home care market has picked up after a decline earlier in the year, reports Irving Levin Associates. The third and fourth quarters each saw 12 publicly announced transactions. That was well below the fourth quarter of 2014, when there were 20 announced acquisitions, Irving Levin notes.
The largest transaction in the fourth quarter was Amedisys Inc.’s purchase of Infinity Home-Care (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXIV, No. 40), according to Irving Levin.
