A start-up based on the premise of furnishing home care with an Uber-like app has secured $42 million more in financing, reports the Business Insider. That’s added to the company’s original $20 million in funding. Thrive Capital, 8VC, Andreessen Horowitz, and Syno Capital are counted among the latest round of investors, the Insider news site says.
Honor launched in April 2015 in the San Francisco Bay area, then expanded to Los Angeles.
The new funding will allow an expansion to the Dallas area, according to the site.
East-coast competitor Hometeam has raised $43.5 million and operates in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the Insider adds.
