Curbing readmissions is making joint ventures between home care providers and health systems more attractive than ever.
Example #1: The Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire will join the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system July 1, VNH says in a release on its website. VNH will work with the health system to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations, among other initiatives, the agency notes.
Example #2: Bayada Home Health Care and Inspira Health Network in Woodbury, N.J., have launched a new joint venture, reports the Courier-Post newspaper. Bayada at Inspira, based in Woodbury and Millville, will serve three counties in the state. Bayada has offices in 22 states, the newspaper notes.
