Industry Note:

HHAs Continue To Flub 855 Paperwork For CGS Revalidations

Home health agencies continue to have trouble with their revalidation applications for HHH MAC CGS. "CGS continues to receive paper CMS-855A forms that are not completed in their entirety," the MAC says on its website. Don't neglect CGS's "prescreen request" for revalidation either, the MAC urges. "All information requested by CGS in this notification must be provided in full within 30 days from the date of the request," the MAC stresses. "CGS encourages providers to respond to the prescreen request as soon as possible, as this allows more time to ensure that all missing information has been submitted." Watch out: "If information is not received within the 30 day timeframe, billing privileges are subject to termination until accurate information is received," CGS warns.
