It’s at least six more months of no new home health agencies in four states — and probably longer.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has extended the moratoria areas of all counties in Florida, Illinois, Michigan, and Texas once again, according to a notice published in the Jan. 9 Federal Register.
CMS expanded the moratoria areas of certain cities to whole states in the last notice published in July (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXV, No. 30). But it also provided a waiver opportunity.
