A New Jersey HHA which came under fire for not providing certified home health aides and licensed nurses to care for its patients has closed its doors. Infinity Healthcare LLC in Somers Point, NJ ceased operations and its owner Jerome Kurmas is permanently barred from operating a similar business, reports the Cape May County Herald.
Kurmas signed a Consent Order with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs to end business operations for Infinity, following a March 2012 inspection that revealed none of Infinity’s employees were certified by the State Board of Nursing to practice as a home health aide.
The HHA also allegedly failed to establish written plans of care for each patient, conduct 30-day client healthcare reviews, and conduct 60-day on-site home evaluations, among other violations.
