HHA Adds Doc House Calls To Its List Of Services

More home care agencies are reaping the benefits of venturing outside their home care silo.
For example: First Choice Home Health, Hospice and House Calls of Boise started offering physician house calls this spring, reports the Idaho Statesman newspaper. Two primary care physicians and a nurse practitioner perform both routine and urgent care house calls.
Ninety percent of First Choice’s patients are 65 or older, but the company offers its services to younger patients, according to the Statesman. First Choice joined one other physician practice, Table Rock Mobile Medicine, in offering doc house calls in the area.
