Health System Closes Hospice Facility

Tucson-based Carondelet Health Net-work will close its 11-bed Holy Family Center hospice in Tucson, reports the Arizona Daily Star. The closure is part of a company restructuring that includes a workforce reduction of nearly 5 percent and a consolidation of services. The Catholic health network will continue to operate in-home care and hospital-based palliative care, which is 90 percent of its current hospice program, a spokesman told the newspaper.
