Fix For Outlier Claims Problem On The Way

If you receive outlier payments, you're not alone in finding them incorrect. "Outlier payments are not properly being applied to claims," HHH MAC Palmetto GBA says on its website. The problem: "The payment total amount on the Home Health Payment Totals Detail screen does not equal the payment total amount on the Home Health Payment Totals Inquiry screen," Palmetto explains. As a result, "providers are seeing a decrease in payment due to the outlier payments not being applied correctly." Palmetto expects a resolution to the problem with the January claims system release, it says.
