Will you find this new appeal route appealing? One of the two new appeal options available to Medicare providers is Settlement Conference Facilitation. Medicare is expanding its SCF program to speed Medicare appeals processing. SCF is available to providers with a total of 500 or more appeals pending at the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals and the Medicare Appeals Council combined; or Medicare Part A and Part B providers with any number of appeals pending at OMHA and the Council that each have more than $9,000 in billed charges.
