Industry Note:

Find Out How Testing Of IMPACT Act Data Is Going

Receive IMPACT Act information and give CMS your two cents on the matter in a July 25 Special Open Door Forum.

The forum will focus on the “Standardized Patient Assessment Data Elements (SPADE) work,” CMS says in its forum announcement. Thirty-three home health agencies participated in the one-month beta testing of the elements, with 24 agencies going on to the testing extension, CMS says in slides for the forum. About 24 percent of the beta test sample came from HHAs, the slides add.

Next: CMS will hold focus groups with providers to acquire more detail about some of the beta test findings, it says. And CMS and its SPADE contractor RAND Corp. “will host a mini-conference ... in late 2018 to discuss findings of testing and stakeholder engagement activities, answer questions, and hear feedback on candidate data elements,” the slides day.
